> MOVIE NIGHTS for WAREHOUSE STUDENTS / July 5 & 12
We may not be having a summer movie series on Sundays, but that isn’t stopping Warehouse Students from carrying on the tradition. For the first 4 Sundays in July, we’ll look at 4 different movies and explore what Biblical truth can be found in Hollywood. The movies are: Hugo, Rango, Inception, and The Avengers. We’ll be screening the first 3 movies here at Warehouse the Thursday prior to each Sunday, with a tentative trip to the theaters for The Avengers.
Thursdays @ Warehouse, 7-9:30pm, in the Blue Room:
June 28: Hugo
July 5: Rango
July 12: Inception
Snacks, popcorn and a movie! What more could you want on a summer night? These will be great events for students to invite their friends. Parents are welcome to stay and watch as well.

> FAMILY PROMISE / July 15-22
The numbers are staggering: more than 4,000 homeless children are enrolled in public schools in Charlotte. When Warehouse 242 learned of this crisis, we refused to remain on the sidelines. And when we looked for a great strategic partner, we found Family Promise—a collaboration of local churches who provide weeklong housing for four homeless families at a time.
Here’s how it works: Warehouse will welcome four families to stay overnight at our building from Sunday, July 15 through the 22nd. Each morning, Family Promise will transport the children and families from Warehouse to the Family Promise Day Center so that parents can pursue debt reduction, job placement, and apply for permanent housing; and kids will get connected to engaging summer camps and programs. Warehouse has seen firsthand that the Family Promise model is a proven and effective way to move at-risk families from instability to dependable housing. And it’s all done through building strong and meaningful relationships with the families.

But during the week, you can still reach someone for prayer. Just email our prayer team at firstname.lastname@example.org

> PROJECT 345/365
An entire year of ways to interact with the Bible. How will you join in the challenge in 2012?
In 2011, we took the challenge to read the New Testament together with Project 345. Many of you participated in the daily Bible reading plan that walked you through each book of the New Testament in only 3 minutes and 45 seconds a day. We’ve heard lots of good stories about people diving into the Bible for the first time through Project 345. If you finished the Plan successfully, way to go! If you’re ready for a do-over, there’s no better time than now to dive back in.
We know this style of Bible reading doesn’t work for everyone, and that’s okay. For those of you who really benefit from a daily, customized plan, we encourage you to check out the other terrific resources available at YouVersion.com. If you’re ready to tackle the Old Testament, or if you’d rather try a different reading plan, YouVersion is an awesome resource.
Regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey, nothing serves us like reading the Bible. The people in our community who are growing spiritually are the ones who are interacting regularly with Scripture. The new year is a great time to start anew.
