Summer Movie Series 2010
We talk about movies every summer because of how pervasive they are in our cultural consciousness. They provide a painfully clear glimpse into the world around us, and they open the door to hard conversations about how God is pursuing us in all of this. We’re aware that people are talking about these movies, and that you will have the chance to enter that conversation and invite friends and co-workers into our honest talks about the films. This year’s films range from a brutally honest Oscar-winner about humanity at war to a documentary about the poetry of guitars. All of these films are laced with the culture that we live in every day.
To be clear: we’re not screening these movies inside Warehouse, and we’re not endorsing their content. In fact, we’re pretty horrified by some of what happens in these stories — but we’re aware that people are talking about them, and that you will have the chance to enter that conversation and invite friends and co-workers into our honest talks about the films.
Here are the six films we’ll be talking about in July & August:
Up In the Air + July 25 / Won 44 Awards & brought in $150 mil in theaters
The Hurt Locker + August 01 / 2010 Oscar for Best Picture
Crazy Heart + August 08 / 2010 Oscar for Best Actor
Extract + August 15 / Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, & Gene Simmons make a great cast
Inception + August 22 / Three Oscar winners and 142 total award nominations for the cast of this intellectual thriller
It Might Get Loud + August 29 / Award-winning documentary about the best guitarists of our time
Series starts July 25th.

Warehouse is built for you to dive in and engage a movement, not sit back and have spiritual pizza deliveries delivered to you. If you want to engage, here are a few places to start:
What is the order for the movies for the Movie Series 2010 ??
We’ve updated the order. Here it is:
July 25 + Up in the Air
August 01 + Hurt Locker
August 08 + Crazy Heart
August 15 + Extract
August 22 + Inception
August 29 + It Might Get Loud
It is a tremendous list of ‘strong content’ movies this year. Well done on the selection.
