Soapboxes & Hand Grenades
Some of the most significant issues for our lives often seem to feature someone standing on a soapbox giving a quick simplistic answer.
The answer is “true” or at least true(ish), but lacks the meat, the nuance that allows us to consider, reflect and make strong decisions about how we will live. Or, there is someone else dropping a proverbial hand grenade in the room that stops everyone short and leads to a conversational cul-de-sac.
During this series we will look at five issues of extreme importance for our lives – sex, politics, money, life and death – with a view toward having honest in-depth conversation. To be frank, we believe that there is wisdom in the Bible that can help us to live out these issues with beauty and integrity.
