The Skinny: January 6, 2019
Headlines & Sunday Announcements
5 Sundays in January and February, 3:30-5:30pm / The Blue Room
Connect in community while learning practical relationship skills that can strengthen your marriage and family, increase your good will and deposit loving feelings toward one another. Topics covered include listening well, speaking appropriately, negotiation, how our family of origin impacts us and our relationships, and other communication tools. This will be time well spent as an investment in your marriage and future.
The dates of the class are January 13, 20, 27, and February 10 & 17. We’ll gather from 3:30-5:30 at W242 in the Blue Room.
There is a small fee of $25/couple to cover materials.
This marriage enrichment is being led by Mark and Pam Taft, Participating Members at Warehouse and Professional Marriage Coaches. Feel free to email them with questions at email@example.com
Please indicate on your registration if you’ll need childcare.
Friday, January 11, 7pm / The Gallery @ Warehouse
We are honored to have The Lorien Academy of the Arts, founded by Participating Member Mike Khoe, as a Core Partner in West Charlotte. You may have seen the students’ artwork, paired with companion pieces by professional artists, in our gallery.
Come out on Friday, January 11th and meet the students and some of the professional artists in person! You’ll have the opportunity to hear the stories behind the art, and even purchase some for your own collection!
Click HEREto read more about it on their Facebook event page.
Wednesday, January 16, 7pm / The Coffee Room
Join us in the coffee room for a time of worship and conversation. Our Wisdom Panel, made up of of veteran, wise, old dudes, will lead us in a discussion on dealing with things in our lives that are thieves of time – things that steal from us our quality and intentional time with God, our families, and our friends. Matt Shaughnessy will be leading us in worship through song as well. Don’t miss it!
Wednesday, January 23, 6:15pm / The Arena
Join us for an evening filled with conversation, listening, and learning as we hear from experts on the topic of Resilient Children and discern how we as a community – both within the walls of W242 and our City as a whole – can come alongside these families and the organizations dedicated to transforming their lives.
In the weeks to come you’ll be hearing more about other events and opportunities going on in the first month of the new year. If you want to go ahead and fill up your calendar, check out the email that went out earlier this week. If you aren’t currently receiving our emails, contact Kelly Brunk and she’ll make sure we have your correct contact info!
