The Skinny: December 30, 2018
Headlines & Sunday Announcements
Sunday, January 6, 8:30-9:30am / The Blue Room
Join us before the service on Sunday, January 6 as we gather once again for connection, conversation, and brainstorming! This gathering is for everyone who is currently serving on a Sunday morning team (we’d love to see you all there!) as well as anyone who would like to hear more about how these teams excel at offering radical hospitality to our community and guests. Childcare is provided, so be sure and let us know if you’ll need it!
Sunday, January 6, 11:30am
Henry Kritikos and Anne Lawrie will host a Student/ Family DR Interest Meeting after the service in the Blue Room. This is open to adult leaders (needed to help teach English), high school youth and middle school youth (if accompanied by a parent). The trip dates are June 29 – July 7, 2019. We’ll be providing childcare and a light lunch. No need to register — just show up!
5 Sundays in January and February, 3:30-5:30pm / The Blue Room
Connect in community while learning practical relationship skills that can strengthen your marriage and family, increase your good will and deposit loving feelings toward one another. Topics covered include listening well, speaking appropriately, negotiation, how our family of origin impacts us and our relationships, and other communication tools. This will be time well spent as an investment in your marriage and future.
The dates of the class are January 13, 20, 27, and February 10 & 17. We’ll gather from 3:30-5:30 at W242 in the Blue Room.
There is a small fee of $25/couple to cover materials.
This marriage enrichment is being led by Mark and Pam Taft, Participating Members at Warehouse and Professional Marriage Coaches. Feel free to email them with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please indicate on your registration if you’ll need childcare.
In the weeks to come you’ll be hearing more about other events and opportunities going on in the first month of the new year. If you want to go ahead and fill up your calendar, check out the email that went out earlier this week. If you aren’t currently receiving our emails, contact Kelly Brunk and she’ll make sure we have your correct contact info!
